Friksi.id, Spanyol – Sebanyak empat wakil Indonesia siap melanjutkan perjuangan mereka di semifinal turnamen BWF Super 300 Spain Masters 2024 yang akan bergulir di Madrid, Spanyol, Sabtu 30 Maret 2024.
Tempat pertama diamankan oleh ganda campuran Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari yang memenangkan laga perempat final atas pasangan Taiwan Chen Cheng Kuan/Hsu Yin Hui, Jumat, dengan skor telak 21-5, 21-10.
Rinov/Pitha yang turun sebagai unggulan keenam dalam turnamen ini, ditargetkan untuk maju hingga babak final dan membawa pulang gelar juara, sebagai upaya mereka untuk mengamankan slot menuju Olimpiade 2024 Paris.
Rinov/Pitha akan berjumpa dengan wakil India B. Sumeeth Reddy/Nelakurihi Sikki Reddy yang mengalahkan pasangan Indonesia Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati di babak delapan besar, 14-21, 21-11, 21-17.
Lebih lanjut, langkah Rinov/Pitha kemudian berhasil diikuti oleh tunggal putri Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi, yang menang atas wakil Thailand Pornpicha Choeikeewong melalui straight game 21-14, 21-16 di babak perempat final. Komang Ayu, yang harus melewati babak kualifikasi agar bisa berlaga di babak utama, dipastikan akan menghadapi pemain unggulan Thailand lainnya, Ratchanok Intanon di babak empat besar hari ini.
Sementara, tunggal putri lainnya, Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo harus terhenti setelah kalah dari unggulan ketiga asal Korea Selatan, Kim Ga Eun, 19-21, 16-21.

Lebih lanjut, ganda putri Indonesia unggulan kedua Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi akan berhadapan dengan pasangan Taiwan Lee Chia Hsin/Teng Chun Hsun di babak semifinal.
Sebelumnya, Ana/Tiwi memenangkan laga atas wakil Taiwan Hsu Ya Ching/Lin Wan Ching di perempat final dengan skor 21-18, 21-19.
