Friksi.id, Jakarta – Kontroversi tindakan hukum yang melibatkan sejumlah pejabat dan oknum Bea Cukai terhadap masyarakat membuat geram dan reaksi masyarakat. Salah satunya dari Pengurus Besar Serikat Mahasiswa Muslimin Indonesia (PB SEMMI). Bendum PB SEMMI Tuntut Menteri Keuangan Copot Dirjen Bea Cukai karena sudah merugikan negara dan masyarakat.
“Direktorat Jenderal Bea Cukai Ķementerian Keuangan RI harus berbenah dimulai dengan dicopotnya Dirjen Bea Cukai, Askolani sebagai orang yang paling bertanggungjawab atas carut marutnya kinerja Bea Cukai.” ujar Donny dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Kamis (16/5/2024).
Dalam pandangannya, perilaku oknum Bea Cukai di Bandara yang merugikan masyarakat dengan mengenakan bea masuk barang bawaan masyarakat seenaknya meresahkan masyarakat, seperti yang dialami Radhika Althaf di TikTok karena sepatu impor miliknya seharga Rp 10.301.000 dikenakan pajak fantastis oleh pihak Bea Cukai. Sepatu tersebut dikenakan bea masuk sebesar Rp 31.801.343 yang tiga kali lipat lebih mahal dari harga belinya.
Kemudian kasus lain, Korea Selatan memberi bantuan berupa prototype alat bantu tunanetra untuk SLB di Indonesia. Namun barang hibah tersebut tertahan dan pihak sekolah dikenakan bea masuk harga barang sebesar US$ 22.846,52 atau sekitar Rp 361.039.239 untuk dibayarkan.
“Ini kan praktik curang dan gila yang sangat memalukan. Barang hibah untuk siswa tuna netra SLB diminta biaya ratusan juta. Sekolah pasti menolak. Belum lagi praktik korupsi yang dilakukan pejabat Bea Cukai. Sangat memalukan.” kata Donny.
Ia melanjutkan, kasus hukum gratifikasi yang menjerat Kepala Bea Cukai Daerah Istimewa Jogjakarta Eko Darmanto dan kasus korupsi impor gula oleh Kepala Kantor Wilayah (Kakanwil) Bea Cukai Riau Ronny Rosfyandi semakin melengkapi buruknya perilaku dan kinerja Bea Cukai.
“Berkaca dari semua kasus yang disebabkan oleh oknum Bea Cukai tidak ada alasan lagi bagi Menteri Keuangan mempertahankan Dirjen Bea Cukai Askolani dari jabatannya. Askolani harus dicopot.” tegas Donny.
